The Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens is located in the Costa Rican Rainforest, near the Arenal Volcano and Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge.  The hotel is isolated and well off the beaten path, making it better suited for adventure lovers and those seeking a secluded getaway.  Guests raved about the on-site spa facilities, highlighted by mud treatments and a unique coffee scrub.  Accommodations are split between the main facility and private bungalows, the latter of which offers private balconies and Jacuzzi tubs.  Both options are clean and well equipped with authentic local décor and iPod docking stations.  Guests appreciated the hotel’s help in book local excursions, including horseback riding and hiking.
