Lakewood is a city in Colorado, near Bear Creek Lake Park. Bear Creek covers approximately 2,600 acres, featuring 15 miles of dirt trails, fishing and picnic areas located on the Bear Creek Reservoir. Cultural sites in the town include the Lakewood Cultural Center, the artistic hub of the city. It has a 310 seat auditorium, an art gallery and exhibition space. The Belmar shopping district of Lakewood promotes an artistic feel with artist galleries and studios numbering among the retails shops. Restaurants in the city include the Lakewood Casa Bonita. Formerly a chain of restaurants founded in 1974, the Lakewood Casa Bonita is the last one remaining. It offers food, flame jugglers, a 30-foot water fall and a puppet theater. The Lakewood Casa Bonita has been referenced many times on the Comedy Central show "South Park."
