Best Hotels in Beaver Creek
Beaver Creek is a community in Colorado which includes the Beaver Creek Resort, a major ski resort. The Visa "Birds of Prey" World Cup downhill ski races are held there annually and Beaver Creek was the host for the World Ski Championships in 1989 and 1999. The Beaver Creek Golf Club is one of the oldest golf courses in the Vail Valley and is know for its spectacular scenery and challenging layout. Nearby is the Holy Cross Wilderness area which is popular with hikers. The area is risky, though, with many hikers rescued over the years because of the area's rapidly changing weather conditions and confusing landscape.
