The Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa is located in the downtown district within walking distance of the ocean. Guests love the gorgeous views of the adjacent Del Monte Golf Course, as well as the tasty on-site dining. While the common areas and grounds get rave reviews, guests are less than impressed with the actual rooms. Guests also note that there is no air conditioning, which makes for an uncomfortable stay in the warmer months. While opening the window typically solves this issue—with the cool ocean breezes—the lack of air conditioning has indeed been a problem for many guests.
