The Bottom Line:
Sporting guestrooms equipped with marble gas-lit fireplaces, free Wi-Fi, minibars and patios/balconies, the Best Western Plus Victorian Inn transports guests less than a mile from famed attractions such as Cannery Row and Monterey Bay Aquarium. Visitors appreciated both the hotel’s continental breakfasts, as well as nightly complimentary ‘wine and cheese’ receptions. While the hotel has no pool, guests often utilized the Best Western’s outdoor spa and sun patio. Note that while the main portion of the hotel embodies a revamped ‘Victorian style mansion,’ additions to the building aren’t consistent with this aesthetic. While visitors were beyond pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of their rooms, some were disappointed by their more ‘modern’ feel.
