The Bottom Line:
The Scottsdale Marriott at McDowell Mountains is located off Highway 101. An upscale shopping mall with an extensive food court is located within walking distance. A nearby hiking trail called "The Gateway" was considered a great local attraction. Guests liked the hotel's landscaping with lots of tall saguaro cactus and xeriscaping. The rooms were very well-reviewed, with extremely comfortable beds and luxury bedding. Rooms have a small seating area, and a kitchenette. The bathrooms were described as spacious, with a separate tub and shower and good lighting. Guests raved about the balconies, some of which had an excellent view of the nearby golf course. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were described as helpful and courteous.
